Name Anagram

Unscramble ten names. Use the letters alone for maximum points, or reveal an origin or meaning hint when you need help.

How to play

Tap letter tiles to build your answer, or type it directly. Matching is case-insensitive. Use Hint 1 for origin/tradition or Hint 2 for meaning/theme. Each hint reduces your score for that round.

What this puzzle teaches or tests

This game tests spelling recognition and name familiarity. The hints connect spelling to origin and meaning, reinforcing the knowledge base shared with VooWood's guides.

Spelling, origin and meaning

Unscramble each group of letters to form a name or language word from the VooWood pool. You can type the answer directly, request an origin hint, or reveal additional meaning information. Solving with fewer hints earns more points, but skipping a difficult round keeps the session moving.

The anagrams use established spellings from the local data file and compare answers without accents or letter case. Hints describe the stored origin and meaning rather than generating a new claim. This makes the game suitable for spelling practice while keeping the factual details tied to the same guides linked below.

Every answer uses exactly the letters shown, and selecting a placed letter returns it to the available row. This makes the board usable with a pointer or keyboard without requiring drag-and-drop. A fresh session shuffles the selected terms and the order of their letters.

When a term contains repeated letters, each tile represents one position and can be selected independently. The answer area displays the current order before submission. Origin and meaning hints are optional, allowing the same round to work as a pure spelling challenge or as guided vocabulary review.
